Christine Georgopulo is a corporate real estate development veteran turned competitive dancer and now studio Owner of The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich. As a student Christine quickly saw and felt just how dancing can be life changing; as a studio owner she loves watching the transformation that dance brings to everyone. She welcomes one and all to come share her love of dance.

Iraida Volodina

Owner & Franchisee

Iraida Volodina (native of St. Petersburg, Russia) began ballroom dancing at the age of seven. Over the years she studied contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, swing, ballet and performed with dance companies and in various projects in Russia with Phil LaDuca, Alvin Aley company, productions with Mariinskiy Theatre and the list goes on.

In 2006 Ms. Volodina graduated St. Petersburg University of Sports with degree in Physical Therapy to be able approach teaching at the new level.

In 2007 Ms. Volodina moved to America and began her career with Arthur Murray International. Ms. Volodina partnered with Ricardo Sopin and together they won many American Rhythm Championships across the US. In 2010 they were featured on ABC’s Dancing with The Stars (tribute to Haiti 10th Season)

 Ms. Volodina has over 10 years of teaching experience is very passionate about enhancing peoples life through dance.

Recently Ms. Volodina became a franchisee of Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich with Christine Georgopulo.

Ricardo Sopin

Mr. Sopin was born and raised in Haiti, where he was first introduced to Ballroom Dancing. Over the course of the next 20 years, Mr. Sopin honed his skills, traveled extensively and competed throughout Haiti, the States and Europe, becoming a World Champion Ballroom Dancer.

In 2007, Mr. Sopin moved to the United States where he met his dance partner, with whom he won many titles in the American Rhythm Division and was featured on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars in 2010.

A recent Greenwich resident, Mr. Sopin enjoys sharing his love of dance with students of all ages and levels.
